Ambitious Student Assistant - Logistics

Would you like to have a golden opportunity to translate your theoretical competencies into practice in collaboration with a strong professional team? And would you thrive on doing this in a dynamic department where the working environment is informal and where we endorse a collaborative behaviour?

We are in search of a student assistant for our logistics team – if that person could be you, then read on and apply.
Your challenges

You will be part of our international team which is an integrated part of the VELUX Group Supply Chain organisation with 31 colleagues in our global logistics competence centre. We are supporting our 40 markets with best-in-class logstistics solutions and our top priority is to ensure that our products are delivered right on time to our distribution centres.

You will be involved in operational tasks as well as and develop/optimisation of existing processes where you will be given the opportunity to:

  • Work with all parts of the logistics processes from production to customer (end-to-end)
  • Solve daily operational tasks e.g. ordering of transports, approval of invoices etc.
  • Help identify and analyse the possibilities of optimisation of different areas in the logstistics and ware house processes
  • Participate in projects regarding development of operational processes, Lean set-up and IT optimisations projects

Working hours will be between 10-15 hours per week and the actual timing of the hours is flexible and will be adjusted to your study programme. It will from time to time be possible to have extra working hours if your study allows it – e.g. during summer holiday.

Your qualifications

We imagine that you are studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree as MSc in economics or cand.oecon and you have a strong passion for logistics and Supply Chain. Due to your excellent ability to command complex processes and to see the big picture, you can spot improvement and development opportunities.

You are curious by nature, ready to learn and grow and you are eager to find new, exciting and unexpected solutions that will create value for the VELUX Group. You have a good understanding of IT in general and should you happen to have knowledge of SAP/R3 our smiles will be even wider – this is however not a requirement.

You possess great drive and take pride in reaching deadlines focusing on the right solution. In addition, you thrive in an unpredictable, dynamic environment where we never know what the day will bring.

Since you will have many stakeholders; sales companies, production, headquarters and distributors, it is very important that you have an open and forthcoming manner and that you build relations with ease. You like – and find it natural – to collaborate with people across professional as well as national and cultural boundaries.

You speak and write flawless in English.

Your opportunities
We offer you a lot of opportunities to test and develop your theoretical competencies in practice and a unique chance of putting your mark on the future logistic solutions in the VELUX Group.

Our team is characterised by an informal tone and respect for each other. We are working as one team to achieve ambitious and long-term results, and we need your good spirit and commitment to meet our objectives.

The international setting is in our DNA and we believe in empowering people. We support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who strive to make a difference.

The VELUX Group offers exciting challenges with competent and committed colleagues where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among the core values.
